COMPLEX EXTENSION AND REHABILITATION - MULTISPORTS GYM OF BOURG-LA-REINE – A TEMPLE OF PERFORMANCE
GL events has been commissioned by the city of Bourg-La-Reine for the reconstruction and partial rehabilitation of the Bas-Coquarts Sports Complex.
To provide its residents and elite athletes with suitable facilities, and following the acquisition of the "Terre de Jeux" and Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Preparation Center (CPJ) labels, the City of Bourg-la-Reine aimed to make its sports facilities for fencing and martial arts larger, more functional, and more comfortable.
This project, divided into two major phases, is perfectly aligned with sustainable development and meets the needs of Bourg-la-Reine: promoting sports excellence and renewing its outdated infrastructure.
- Phase 1: Extension: The first phase of construction, inaugurated on February 1, 2024, offers state-of-the-art sports facilities (dojos, fencing hall, recovery room with cryotherapy, infirmary, armory) allowing Bourg-La-Reine to benefit from high-level sports facilities meeting the needs of international clubs. The addition of administrative spaces and modern amenities ensures optimal functionality and a warm welcome for all users.
- Phase 2: Rehabilitation: This phase focuses on improving existing infrastructure by modernizing sports areas (weight room, multisports hall, boxing and MMA room), locker rooms, and restrooms.
This project stands out for its responsible commitment in two crucial aspects:
- Intelligent design: Harmonizing with the natural slope of the land, reducing the carbon footprint by approximately 150 tons of CO2 in excavation quantities.
- Reuse and revaluation of materials: Facilitated by our partner Mobius Réemploi, achieving savings in new equivalent productions of 83 tons of waste and 9.5 tons of CO2 emissions avoided.
